Magento Innovations Lab Teams Up With Amazon Web Services (AWS)

 

As we look ahead to our third year of Magento Innovations Lab, we are expanding our existing relationship with AWS beyond our cloud solution into the broader partner and developer community. We are excited to invite developers and partners to imagine new possibilities on Magento by embedding AWS innovations into their Innovations Lab submissions.
Technology is driving unprecedented change and innovation across every aspect of commerce. Magento Innovations Lab surfaces the creative development work from the global Magento community with the goal of promoting early-stage implementations of emerging technologies on the Magento eCommerce platform. From merchandising to customer service to payments (and more), these innovations are empowering growing companies to deliver exceptional online retail experiences to their customers.
This partnership with AWS marks a growing and enthusiastic developer community who are keen on pushing the limits of what’s possible with Magento. There is a long-standing history via the community to not only hold Magento accountable for delivering exceptional products but to instill a culture of innovation, and provide the foundation upon which to envision, discover, and implement superior customer experiences that drive top-line revenue growth for merchants. 
Among the Amazon services that Magento developers can leverage are:

• Visual search with AWS Rekognition: a simple and easy to use API that can quickly analyze any image or video file stored in Amazon S3.
  
• Machine Learning (ML) services that make it easy for developers -- with no prior ML experience -- to build individualized recommendations for customers into their applications with Amazon Personalize; and to combine time series data with additional variables to build forecasts with Amazon Forecast.
  
• Voice Commerce with Alexa skills for voice-driven search, product comparisons, order status, etc.
